Design Objective
DoSeum’s tinkering and making station.

The project’s objective was to design an environmental graphic design and a comprehensive visual system that could unite four distinct sections in both English and Spanish.

In the exhibit, children are encouraged to focus on the process rather than the product. Zachry Innovation Station appeals to all types of learners and provides multiple ways for kids to explore intuitive learning.

Design Approach
Strict grid and fun iconography.

First, we developed a color palette to give each space its own identity. Furthermore, typography and a strict grid were created to relate the various areas and exhibits. Thus, using type combined with a visible grid gave every element a recognizable relationship with the rest of the space. Icons and illustrations were also developed and implemented based on the graphic grid system. A fun project for sure!

We’ve been very pleased working with Genaro and his team. They understood our design style and responded with a fresh, clean, and fun look. They were easy to work with and even helped us with our Spanish translations. Everything in our museum is bilingual so it is very helpful to work with someone who can operate in both languages.
