Pilcrow (¶) is a graphic symbol—possibly medieval in origin—that represents a new string of connected thoughts.
A paragraph symbol.
Andrew haslam • Author of bookdesignI grew up surrounded by paper, ink, and massive Heidelbergs, which fostered my deep love for books and offset printing. That’s why I’ve named this repository of writings THE PILCROW. In this space, I share design insights with my students, celebrate their successes in competitions, and provide updates about my teaching career at Baylor University, my professional practice, and new projects at Legacy79. More importantly, I use this platform to keep my passion for teaching alive while connecting with clients, colleagues, and students. It’s also a place where I experiment and practice my writing, with the hope of writing a book or two when the time is right—maybe!
